The Brett Eldridge-captained side defeated Mornington Peninsula (2) by 54 runs at Brighton Beach Oval to remain on top of division two.
Dustin Drew (55), Karl Turner (48) and Josh Stapleton (45) - all batsmen in the top four - led Warrnambool and District to 8-230 after it won the toss and batted.
Matt Brophy (20 not out) and Jason Mungean (19 not out) were also crucial late in the innings.
Jake McKinnon was then the star with the ball, taking 3-27 as Mornington Peninsula (2) was bowled out for 176 in 39.5 overs.
Warrnambool and District batted a second time, smashing 4-99 from 10 overs to claim crucial bonus points.
Warrnambool and District will play winless Yarra Valley at Bill Lawry Oval in Northcote on Wednesday.
South West is also celebrating victory on day two of MCW after defeating Leongatha and District by three wickets in a provincial grade clash at Kew Cricket Ground.
Stand-in skipper Todd Lamont produced heroics with the bat and ball to lead the way in the breakthrough win.
Lamont took 4-16 as Leongatha and District slumped to 6-59 before finishing at 8-180.
He then top scored with 47 and shared in a 78-run stand with Ben Grinter (43) as South West reached the target seven wickets down and finished with 8-216.
Opener Josh Barr (39) was also crucial, as were Clinton Baker (26 not out) and Fraser Lucas (23) who ensured there would be no lower-order collapse.
South West plays Bairnsdale - the side it defeated in the 2012 division two grand final - at Central Reserve in Glen Waverley on Wednesday.

4.15PM: South West has scored its first win at 2014 Melbourne Country Week today.
Fraser Lucas, fresh off a century for Bookaar at club level last Saturday, and Clinton Baker held their nerve late to secure the three-wicket win against Leongatha and District at Kew Cricket Ground.
South West is 7-183 off 45 overs and has just passed Leongatha and District's 8-180. Lucas and Baker will press on in search of quick runs.
Todd Lamont has top scored with 47 while Ben Grinter made 43. The pair combined for a match-defining partnership after South West slumped to 5-84.

Warrnambool and District is defending 8-230 and has Mornington Peninsula (2) at 3-103 off 20 overs in division two. MPCA needs 128 runs off 180 balls with seven wickets in hand.
2.45PM: Josh Barr is leading the way for South West in its provincial grade match against Leongatha and District at Kew Cricket Ground.
Barr has made 38 not out to steer SWC to 3-73 off 15 overs, in pursuit of LDCA's 8-180 from earlier in the day.

1.30PM: South West has a tricky run chase on its hands to score the first win of its Melbourne Country Week provincial grade campaign.
Leongatha and District recovered from 6-64 to post 8-180 off its 50 overs at Kew Cricket Ground.
Stand-in captain Todd Lamont was the best of the bowlers, taking a stellar 4-16 from 10 overs, while his Mortlake teammate Clinton Baker took 2-29 off 10 overs.
