Fisheries officers received a tip-off through the 13FISH hotline and found more than 100 black bream in a freezer in a caravan annexe last week.
Fisheries Victoria officer Cameron McCallum said 97 of the 104 fish were undersize.
“The woman admitted to catching the fish and exceeding the bag limit over seven days,” Mr McCallum said.
The woman will be charged on summons at a later date.
Mr McCallum said such incidents were serious matters.
“Actions like these seriously impact our local black bream populations,” he said.
“If you are going to fish, you need to make yourself aware of the catch limits for what you are fishing and where you are doing it.”
He said anglers can visit www.depi.vic.gov.au/fisheries to find all relevant information about catch limits and closed seasons.
