IT was called a Showjumping Spectacular and for the riders who converged on Emu Creek Pony Club the event lived up to its name.

Riders from age eight up to 65 took part in the event at Terang on Saturday and Sunday, jumping rails from 0.35 metres up to 1.30 metres.
Organiser Wendy Kelly said the event received about 200 entries from across Victoria and South Australia, with several riders jumping aboard two horses.
Kelly said the two days went as well as planned, heaping praise on “a hard-working and wonderful committee” which brought the event to life.
“We probably had about 200 horses out there, so really good numbers,” she said.
“We had them from Gawler in South Australia and the other way as far as Bacchus Marsh.
“We started at 8.30am Saturday morning and we finished at 8pm on Saturday night, although Sunday wasn’t quite as long.”
