Although just a little over halfway towards her goal of having $100,000 in the bank before making a formal submission to Moyne Shire Council, she is more determined than ever.
“With the town’s population expanding there is definitely a need for a public pool,” she told The Standard yesterday ahead of today’s live music concert fund-raiser on the village green in Commercial Road.
“There are only a few of us on the committee, but we get support from others in the community for events like the New Year’s Day concert.
“With so many young families in Koroit now, the schools, sporting clubs and the elderly, many people would use a pool if it was built.
“The concert has good local artists. People can bring their fold-up chairs or picnic blankets and enjoy a nice relaxing day.”
