Cats defeated Swifts 36-31 to win the A grade grand final at Val Bertrand Netball Stadium on Wednesday night.
Thomas, a Koroit netballer during the Hampden league season, earned best-on-court honours for her 22 goals at goal shooter.
She was one of two Cats netballers to claim awards on the night. Liz Byrne finished the season as the A grade best and fairest with nine votes.
In other games, Nirranda scored a 28-26 win over Half Blacks in the A1 grand final, also on Wednesday.
Nirranda wing defence Claudia Donnelly was best on court, while Half Blacks’ Sarah Robertson was the best and fairest with 18 votes.
All Sorts came from behind to defeat Swanettes 36-35 in a thrilling A2 grand final, with All Sorts centre Mel Ackerley the best player.
Phoenix netballer Brooke Williams won the best and fairest award with 11 votes.
In B grade, a young Warriors side defeated Vintage Vets, with best-on-court honours going to goal attack Sophie Adams.
Warriors’ Tess White and Mixtures’ Heidi Gillie shared the best and fairest award with 23 votes in a high-scoring count.
Sneaky K’s was a convincing winner in the reformed mixed competition, defeating Emmanuel 27-12.
Defender Simon O’Keefe, more known for his basketball exploits, was best on court. George Sicely, from Sonia’s Angels, was the best and fairest winner.
Katie O’Keefe, from Sneaky K’s, and Bridget Smith, from Emmanuel, shared the female award.
