Led by Aboriginal elder Rob Lowe senior, the group will set out tomorrow morning from near Mr Clarke’s birthplace by the Eumeralla River and aims to finish at Warrnambool’s Civic Green on Friday afternoon. They will stop at primary schools in Hawkesdale, Woolsthorpe, Koroit, Grassmere and Woodford to share cultural history with pupils.
“We’re calling it the Eumeralla Walk because it starts at the river and follows the run that my great-grandfather worked on with cattle and stage coaches,” Mr Lowe told The Standard yesterday.
