Heytesbury region on show

ORGANISERS are excited about Saturday’s Heytesbury show, which will boast more rides and attractions.

They are hopeful of a 3000-strong crowd for the agricultural showpiece, which is in its 78th year.

“We have included a larger variety of rides this year and there will several different attractions going on all day in the main arena,” show secretary Libby Van Donk said.

Highlights include rides on Harley-Davidson motorcycles, camel rides, ferret races, a stilt walker, dog jump, car show and shine, highland dancing and a pet parade.

Nearly 70 trade stands will feature and sustainable gardening workshops are scheduled to run throughout the day.

Mrs Van Donk said about 100 volunteers would be generously giving their time to make the show extra special.

The all-day event will be held at Simpson Recreation Reserve.
