The south-west trio have been named in Rowing Australia’s provisional squad, which comprises 63 members. Despite being confined to a moon boot after breaking a bone in his foot, Bertrand has made the men’s lightweight squad.
Ross is one of three rowers in the adaptive squad and Linke is in the men’s squad.
Australia has so far qualified 10 boats for the 2012 London Olympic Games — the men’s double scull, men’s quad scull, women’s double scull, women’s quad scull, men’s pair, men’s four, men’s eight, women’s pair, women’s lightweight double scull and men’s lightweight four.
A further two boats have been secured for the Paralympic Games — the men’s arms and shoulders single scull and trunk and arms mixed double scull. The first round of selection trials will start on December 15, where athletes will face a five-kilometre time trial on the Nepean River before racing at the Sydney International Regatta Centre.
The final round of trials will also be held in Sydney from March 23 to April 1 next year.
