The City of Warrnambool Rowing Club sent five crews to the 124th annual regatta on Saturday, bringing home a bunch of medals.
Jasmine Sloan, Carla Sudholz, Aoife Dalton, Susan Finnigan and cox Stephanie Schneider collected gold in the female masters coxed four.
The coxed pair of Sloan, Sudholz and cox Mario Cresco won the female D final.
Deb Fitzgibbon, Maryanne Purcell, Angela Griffin and Gillian Norris were first in their female D coxed quad scull heat and finished third in the final. Warrnambool’s coxed eight placed second in the female D final.
Brendan and Susan Finnigan finished third in the mixed double scull heat.
More than 12 clubs competed at Dimboola, including Hamilton and Alexandra College, Wentworth, Mildura, Horsham and several Melbourne-based powerhouses.
All events were 750-metre sprints.
The Warrnambool rowers plan to attend more regattas during summer in preparation for the national masters championships in Ballarat next June.
