RUSSELLS Creek has unveiled its first batch of new recruits with playing coach Adam Main expecting to sign more players in the coming weeks.Main said the club had lost former coach Paul Butters to Port Fairy and wished the onballer all the best with the Seagulls."I've been in the job a couple of months now and things are going along great," he said."I've had terrific support from blokes on the footy committee like Mick Jongebloed, Matty Stewart, Luke Cann and Matty Hall and that's helped enormously with recruiting."Main said the club had managed seven key recruits with more signings planned in the next couple of weeks. He said the recruiting drive had involved three players joining Creek from Colac and District league premier Irrewarra-Beeac.Nathan Harty, 30, is a centre half-forward/centre half-back, Leigh Doyle, 28, is expected to play in the midfield and go forward while Troy Armstrong, 32, will also be part of the midfield rotation and play across half-back.Dylan Herbertson, 18, returns to his old club after a stint with Warrnambool and will play in the midfield and half-back and Reece Clarke, 18, has also joined Creek from Warrnambool and will play a similar role to his Blues' teammate.Matt Auld, 29, has signed with Creek after a decade as Old Collegians' key forward and former South Warrnambool player Daniel Weel, 20, is likely to play in defence."We've still got a few irons in the fire so things are looking pretty good," Main said.
