Koroit Show brings food, fun and ferrets

THE Victorian Home Brew Championships, ferret races and a miniature goat competition are among the many attractions of tomorrow's Koroit show at Victoria Park.

Show secretary Lynette Watson said the event continued to attract good support with many people saying it was great for young families.

"The kids do not get lost," Mrs Watson said.

A new attraction this year is the performances by the Windy Wizard who will perform magic, comedy and feats of skill with lots of interaction with the audience.

Also performing will be two bands, Kayla D3 from Koroit and Mister Beat from Hamilton.

The home brew competition has numerous sections that include full strength and low alcohol beer, stout, ginger beer and wheat beer.

The Beaut Ute is similarly diverse with sections including Best Town Ute, Best Feral Ute and Best Ute/Female Entrant.

Other popular favourites returning are sideshow alley, a spud picking competition and the Show Personality competition for boys and girls in grades from babies to 17-year-olds.

Mrs Watson good numbers of entries had been received for the livestock and craft competitions.

Both Koroit primary schools have submitted numerous colourful creations for the school art competition and the renowned Koroit Floral Art Group will have on show its beautiful handiwork.

The historic Koroit National School will be open and vintage cars and engines will be on display.

There will be plenty of music and games on offer at this weekend's Koroit Show.
