The boxing kangaroo is a national icon, and for good reason, if footage from Mogo State forest is anything to go by.
Kanku, a male eastern grey kangaroo, has been filmed showing off his skills with a punching bag.
In the video, Kanku was trying to impress one of his favourite females, while another couple of kangaroos lounged on comfy beds, and others grouped around the porch.
The footage comes from Wild2Free sanctuary, which is located on the NSW coast, just south of Batemans Bay.

Carers at Wild2Free specialise in raising and releasing kangaroos in a natural fence-free location.
The sanctuary is split between two adjoining properties totaling 67 and 90 acres a piece.
IN THE NEWS:
Eastern grey kangaroos are one of Australia's most common marsupials, but according to Wild2Free sanctuary, they are one of the most difficult animals to rehabilitate.
This is because they have large space requirements and suffer from high stress levels.
