Cold or hot blooded? This small brown snake was no match for the fierce Bungarra it met on a Western Australian verandah.
The footage, captured by Charles Sturt University research ecologist Richard McLellan, shows the two tiny reptiles squaring off against each other on a ubiquitous tiled Aussie verandah.
The poisonous snake lands a few blows, not enough to stop the Bungarra from clamping the snake's neck and tossing it around.

The Bungarra came out as champion, eventually swallowing it whole - head first, Mr McLellan said in the Twitter post.
"The Bungarra killed it, then swallowed it head first, right in front of our eyes," Mr McLellan told ABC Midwest.
"Mind-boggling how it got it all the way down before waddling off," he said.
Mr McLellan caught the death match while eating lunch in his Geraldton home and stopped making a coffee to film the fracas.
