Train and coach around NSW with The Senior Newspaper and Travelrite International from October 17 to 29, 2023. Sit back and relax on this fully escorted tour and discover all NSW has to offer from Sydney to Coffs Harbour and everything in between.

The first stage of the journey starts from Sydney Central Station with a picturesque train journey to Bathurst through the spectacular Blue Mountains via Katoomba and Lithgow.

On arrival, there is a visit to the Railway Museum before an afternoon hotel check in.

In Bathurst drop in at former PM Ben Chifley's house, Chifley Home, as well as Abercrombie House and Mount Panorama where the Bathurst 1000 is staged.

By coach the group heads towards the Mayfield Garden at Mount Oberon then onto Cowra, the Cowra POW Camp and Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre.

The town of Parkes is well worth a visit for the King's Castle Elvis Exhibit and its collection of genuine Elvis artefacts. A trip to Parkes would not be complete without a look at the Parkes Radio Telescope, star of the 2000 movie The Dish.

Moving on to Orange and its smorgasbord of fine food and wine. The tour takes in a boutique winery for a bottle of your favourite tipple.

At midday the following day it is back on a train for a two hour trip to Dubbo, a vibrant regional city by the majestic Macquarie River.

While in town enjoy time at the Royal Flying Doctor Experience as well as at Taronga Western Plains Zoo.

Tamworth, Australia's country music capital, is the next town on the itinerary. A must see in Tamworth is the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame with its treasure trove of personal items from Australian country music royalty.

Also on the bucket list is The Big Golden Guitar Tourist Centre, Oxley Scenic Lookout and the Botanical Gardens.

The following afternoon the group heads by train to Armidale. Dubbed the Cathedral City, Armidale is arguably one of Australia's most elegant regional cities.

After a restful night, journey through the Cathedral Rock National Park to pop out at the North Coast and Coffs Harbour.

A sightseeing excursion showcases some of the most beautiful beaches and marine conservation areas the region is famous for, such as Solitary Islands Marine Park and Mutton bird Island.

An afternoon train trip along the coast south back to Sydney arrives at 8.15pm concluding the adventure.
