Immerse yourself in the Murray River and many quintessentially South Australian delights on a tour of fun hosted by The Senior Newspaper and Travelrite International. Get onboard from August 10 to 22 in 2023.

Kicking off in Adelaide, the group heads first to Mannum via a stop in the Australia's Oldest German Town, Hahndorf. Arriving in Mannum in the late afternoon, get ready for the welcome dinner.

In the morning there is free time to explore historic Mannum before boarding the PS Murray Princess.

Cruise under floodlight to Caurnamont keeping a lookout for nocturnal wildlife on the river's edge.

At daybreak the time is right for magical sunrise light and some spectacular birdlife. Later the Murray Princess cruises upriver past Walker Flat to Sugar Shack Conservation Park.

Continuing upriver, the boat passes through one of 13 locks designed to maintain the flow and levels of water and moors for the night at Morgan.

The following day, jump on a coach headed to the Riverland town of Waikerie and Banrock Station Wine and Wetland Centre Near Kingston On Murray.

At Banrock Station imbibe at the cellar door wine tastings then take a stroll around the gardens and orchards.

Back on the Murray Princess the next stop is picturesque Caudo Vineyard at Hogwash Bend. Again cellar door tastings are offered.

Heading downriver, stop at Morgan for a guided walk of the town and Morgan Living History Museum.

Next morning the cruise heads to Swan Reach, first settled in the 1850s. Explore the town before setting sail for Sunnydale and the Woolshed Show, and later in the day, the Native Wildlife Shelter. Enjoy a great Aussie barbecue on the banks of the Murray for dinner.

Travel past magnificent cliffs scoured by the river over millions of years and step back in time at Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve and archaeological site.

Disembark for a coach to Victor Harbor stopping at Murray Bridge and the Roundhouse first.

At Victor Harbor join the Cockle Train which climbs to the top of the coastal cliffs for some of the most picturesque coastal scenery on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Ride the historic Victor Harbor horse drawn tram across the Causeway to Granite Island before travelling via McLaren Vale and lunch, to Adelaide.
