The Power cemented their place in history with a 15-point win over Old Collegians in the grand final at Reid Oval on Saturday.
The victory made it a hat-trick of flags for the Power, the first time a team has won three or more consecutive premierships since West End won eight in a row from 1948-55.
With a strong win blowing to the town end of the ground, the toss of the coin went the way of Power captain Tom Kenna, who had no hesitation in picking the wind at his team's back.
While luck may have fallen the Power's way, they were good enough to make the most of it and within the first four minutes of the game they had three goals on the board.
They added another goal at the 12-minute mark, before the Warriors got on the score sheet with a goal to Nathan Forth.
Power forward Mark Clissold was on fire and when he kicked the next goal of the game, his fourth, the game was careering out of control for the Warriors.
By quarter-time, the Power had opened up a 42-point lead and the Warriors needed to get a move on with the wind in the second quarter.
They kicked two goals in the first six minutes, but the Power didn't panic and re-asserted their authority with the next three goals.
The Warriors came back with the last three majors for the quarter, but a 23-point deficit at the long break looked like a mountain for the Warriors to climb.
The first goal of the second half went the Warriors' way and with half the quarter gone the Power had not added to their half-time score.
Enter Clissold. He slammed through a running goal just when it was needed, opening the door for the Power to kick two more for the quarter to have a six-goal lead at three-quarter-time.
The large contingent of Warriors fans knew their team needed early goals in the last quarter, but it was the Power and that man Clissold who got the first goal of the quarter three minutes in to effectively kill off the contest.
Old Collegians fought on to have the better of the last quarter, but it never looked like coming back from the dead to steal an upset. The game was always going to be won out of the middle and that was the case with the Power getting the first six clearances of the game to set up their match-winning lead.
Brad Johnson, Corey Rounds and Nick Kenna fed off the great work in the ruck by Matthew Fidge and Dale Robinson. Clissold and James Hicks provided the class up forward and Ben Kenna, Tom Kenna and Matthew Buckle were cool in the white heat of the battle in back-half.
For the Warriors, Eli Barker was a shining light, while Sam McCartney gave them a target up forward.
