It took the jury about four days to deliver a majority verdict, with 11 out of 12 jurors finding him not guilty on Tuesday.
Cameron Pepper, 26, was found not guilty of two charges of rape and two alternative charges of attempted rape.
He appeared emotional and relieved, placing his head in his hands before being discharged by the judge.
The trial commenced on November 1 and heard from numerous witnesses, including those who attended the party and experts of parasomnia sleep disorders.
The jury considered a number of factors, including whether the man was conscious and acting intentionally or potentially suffering an episode of sexsomnia.
