Leon Davis has signed on to lead Heywood for 2022, shifting from geographical rival Heathmere in a major coup for the Lions.
The former Collingwood livewire, who featured 225 times for the Magpies in an 11-year stint in the AFL system, will be assisted by dual Esam medallist Nick Johnstone.
We're excited to have Leon on board for 2022 to bring his knowledge and experience to our footballers and the club.

A Heywood statement said the club was excited to welcome a coach and player of Davis' calibre.
"We're excited to have Leon on board for 2022 to bring his knowledge and experience to our footballers and the club," it said.
"Leon's partner Jess has played close to 150 netball games for Heywood over the years, and we look forward to having Leon, Jess, and their family with us at the club next year."
Davis, now 40, was pick 34 in the 1999 AFL draft.
