Shane Savage, who played 165 AFL games across 11 seasons at Hawthorn and St Kilda before joining Hampden league outfit Port Fairy for 2021, has joined Frankston-based club Pines for 2022.
The 30-year-old was part of the Seagulls' leadership group and was a key player despite the club's wooden spoon season. He was best on ground three times, including a six-goal haul against Terang Mortlake in round three.
Pines Football Netball Club said in a social media statement it was excited to welcome the dashing half-back to its ranks.
"What a great pick up for our club. We couldn't have recruited a better player and human to be a mentor and role model for our current list," it said.
"We warmly welcome Shane, Sarah and family to Pines... We intend on keeping you around for many years to come."
Port Fairy has been contacted for comment.
