A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesman said the service was on scene at a high angle rescue incident near the intersection of on Dobsons Way and O'Sullivan Drive in east Warrnambool.
"Crews arrived at 11:30am to find one person had fallen several metres down an embankment and began attempting to return that person to higher ground," he said.
"The scene was brought under control at 11:41am with the patient returned to higher ground and placed into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics."
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the service was called at 11.20am to Warrnambool and paramedics assessed one person.
"There are no reports of any injuries at this stage," she said.
State Emergency Service Warrnambool unit commander Bernadette Northeast said FRV was on site and used high angle rescue equipment to support a woman who had fallen at her property down an embankment.
"We supported the efforts of FRV during the recovery," she said.
"The woman was not conveyed to hospital. Medical assistance was provided at the scene," she said.
Noon: Emergency services personnel are current attending at a Dobson Way property in east Warrnambool which backs onto the Hopkins River.
An operation has been launched, described as a high angle rescue.
State Emergency Service volunteers, ambulance, police and Fire Rescue Victoria officer are on the scene.
An alarm was raised about 11.30am.
