Bulls captain Grant Place confirmed Fernando, known affectionately at the club as 'Larry', is playing n Melbourne with East Burwood this season.
Fernando played 67 matches for the Bulls across three seasons, taking 131 wickets at a average of 9.35. His best figures were 6-11.

Larry, who finished third in the association's cricketer of the year last season, had also made 1037 runs at an average of 19.39 and a high score of 104.
Place said the Bulls would still have two Sri Lankans with the returning Tharaka Sendanayake bringing friend and housemate Amila Mendis to the club.
Mendis, a left-arm spinner, has been playing with Burwood Uniting Canterbury Cricket Club in the Eastern Cricket Association.
He has spent four seasons with Burwood, who are also known as the Bulls, playing 35 matches, taking 41 wickets at an average of 19.12. His best figures are 4-22.
With the bat, Mendis has scored 201 runs at 11.82, normally coming in at number eight, nine or 10.
Place said it was possibly Sendanayake's last season with the club.
The premiership skipper said Stephen Hill would feature in the top division again after two consecutive division three cricketer of the year awards.
