The exhibition titled 'The Stooges Show' is a body of work by south-west artists Glenn Morgan and Chris Small made over the pandemic lockdowns.
The pair have been friends for a number of years and over that time they have had several exhibitions together.
In the upcoming show, Morgan has painted on hand-made platters made by Small, which he has decorated with cobalt and underglazes with artwork depicting social issues over the COVID lockdown times.
Morgan has also included some of his social commentary paintings in his hallmark artistic style.
Some of the works are framed in a television screen to depict the role of the media through the pandemic.
"All the ideas I've taken mainly from the news," Morgan said.
"Most of our view of the world over the last two years has been through a screen of some sort."
Topics his works address include the lockdown protests and the lockdown of the public housing towers in Melbourne.
Some of the evocative pieces include key quotes from politicians that have shaped Australia's approach to the pandemic.
Small has produced paintings and ceramics, which he calls "wall candy" for the show and says he hasn't taken things too seriously.
"I actually thought the pandemic was a bit of a bonus because it means you couldn't go anywhere," Small said, appreciating time in his south-west studio.
The collection took around 12 months to create and will run at the F Project from October 13 to November 7.
The F Project is a community run art gallery and shop with 19 artists' studios and an artists residency which opened in February 2014 at its Timor Street site.
It is a community of artists, craftspeople and creators who banded together in 2008 in order to provide professional development of artists, community awareness, engagement and appreciation of the arts, partnerships and support networks, arts advocacy and to create a designated art space for a wide variety of art disciplines.
