A Warrnambool Police spokesman said the search was continuing.
Police uploaded a photo of a ute on the Warrnambool Eyewatch Facebook page, asking members of the public to notify them it they see it.
However, police have neither confirmed or denied whether it is the vehicle stolen from the Grassmere property.
"We need your assistance. If you have sighted REG: XZM389 this is a 2004 Holden Rodeo dual cab green in colour (SIMILAR to this one) with a canopy on the rear. It was last sighted this morning travelling East along Hamilton Highway at Berrybank," the post states.
"Please do not approach vehicle but call 000 immediately or Crimestoppers 1800 333 000."
EARLIER: A manhunt is under way after emergency services responded to a single vehicle accident near Grassmere on Tuesday morning.
Detective Sergeant Andy Raven said the white Holden ute was stolen over night from Port Fairy.
Detective Sergeant Raven said the sole occupant of the ute appeared to have lost control and had an accident on the Grassmere-Injemira Road.
"The Airwing is coming down, the ute was stolen overnight and we have been actively looking for it today," he said.
"One offender has fled the scene on foot."
Detective Sergeant Raven said the driver had stolen another vehicle from a nearby property and police were on the lookout for them.
More to come.
