A CFA spokesman said firefighters were called to a property in Graylan Street just after 9pm.
"Firefighters at Cobden fire station said flames and smoke were visible en-route," he said.
"When crews arrived on-scene they found a shed containing cars and fuel fully involved with the husband of the property attempting to put the fire out."

The spokesman said CFA crews from Cobden, Camperdown, Bostocks Creek, Terang and Warrnambool responded and managed to contain the fire to the building.
"Firefighters in breathing apparatus performed an aggressive fire attack to contain the fire," he said.
"A 'fire stop' was placed on the call by the group officer at 11.07pm."
