Warrnambool's Nathan Sobey was part of history as the Australian Boomers secured their first ever Olympic medal after defeating Slovenia in their final match on Saturday night.

The Boomers, led by an on fire Patty Mills, scored the bronze medal with a 107-93 win.
They have came up empty handed in four previous bronze medal matches and had suffered 65 years of pain in the Boomers' history at the Olympics.
In an even first quarter the Boomers emerged with a 20-19 lead at the first break. Sobey didn't feature in the first term.
Mills, who scored 26 points and had four assists in the first half, starred in the second term as he helped Australia jump out to a 10-point lead.
Sobey played the last 20 seconds of the half as the Boomers entered the break ahead 53-45.
Mills continued his hot run with another 10 points and two assists in the third term. Sobey came on with two minutes to go in the third quarter and assisted Joe Ingles, who nailed a three from the corner.
He also had a defensive rebound in his two minutes on court as Australia entered the last break leading 78-67.
Sobey didn't feature in the final term and finished with two minutes and 26 seconds on the court.
Mills was Australia's best player, finishing with 42 points, three rebounds, nine assists and one steal.
Joe Ingles was also handy with 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists while Matisse Thybulle was strong with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists.
