A number of south-west seasons are under a cloud after the state was plunged into another lockdown on Thursday to curb the spread of the latest coronavirus outbreak.

Hampden and Warrnambool and District football netball leagues are expected to meet next week to discuss if and when they resume.
The lockdown, the state's sixth since the beginning of the pandemic, is due to end next Thursday night at 11.59pm which would make playing next weekend unlikely.
If no games were played next weekend, the WDFNL's finals are scheduled to start the week after, meaning the season could be over for two senior football and one A grade netball side.
South Rovers (fifth), Russells Creek (sixth) and Old Collegians (seventh) are all locked on 20 points in the football.
Russells Creek is one game outside of the top five in the netball with Old Collegians holding the prized last finals spot.
The Hampden league was to have a further three regular season games but it may only get one more in before finals are scheduled to start on August 28-29.
That would mean Warrnambool's hopes of a last-minute dash into finals would be quashed and Portland would secure its maiden finals berth in the competition.
In the netball, Camperdown would have only one chance to try and jump into the top five and push either Koroit or North Warrnambool out. All three teams are locked on 24 points.
South West Victoria Football Association set down its plans for the conclusion of its season earlier this week.
Its finals remained on its original dates as the league shifted the fixtures of its four - one senior and three junior - competitions to ensure all seasons were fair and teams played an equal number of matches.
The Warrnambool Seahawks and Mermaids could have just two games left in their season if two weekends of play are wiped out due to restrictions.
There is four rounds left in the Big V season and the Seahawks destiny was in their own hands heading into last weekend's round 19 fixture.
The Seahawks currently it in eighth on the ladder with eight wins and eight defeats this season. The youthful Mermaids are eighth out of 10 in the division one women's competition.
The undefeated Warrnambool Rangers could have just two more games to secure the Ballarat and District league champions title before they embark on their quest for the premiership flag.
