The Winter Weekends committee will meet tonight to discuss if the program, which was to be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, will be postponed, cancelled or held in other formats.
Co-ordinator Amy Armstrong said the committee would consider all options and would know more on Wednesday.
This weekend was to be the fourth and final weekend of events. It was to feature live music including a pandemic-inspired performance piece from the Find Your Voice Collective, the popular Women in Song concert and a street event showcasing 20 local buskers. There was also a four-course dinner prepared by award-winning chef Matt Dempsey paired with alcohol-free drinks, a beer brewing class, the film French Exit and much more.
"We'll be deciding is whether or not we cancel or postpone and there are some things that may go ahead in an online capacity," Ms Armstrong said.
"It comes down to the committee, if we've got the energy to try and reschedule the whole weekend of events for a few week's time. That's what we've got to work out."
She said some events that had been planned for previous weekends had been rescheduled for this coming weekend. "It was going to be a bumper weekend," Ms Armstrong said.
