The 2012-13 premiership forward/backman was swung into attack in the final term with the Bulldogs already well on their way to a comfortable 18.15 (123) to 2.5 (17) victory on a day of celebration for the club.
Before the match the Bulldogs paid tribute to stalwart Frank Ryan by naming the gate at Panmure Recreation Reserve he stood at for numerous years welcoming fans and visitors in honour of him.
Panmure also wore a heritage jumper, designed by captain Louis Kew, celebrating the 100th anniversary of its first premiership.
The seniors and reserves jumpers were auctioned off in the clubrooms after the game, raising more than $10,000.
Meade drew praise from coach Chris Bant, who also slotted five goals, following the victory.

"His contribution to the club has been unbelievable. In all honesty he played well in the last quarter but it probably wasn't his best game as far as racking them up but his man didn't get a kick so he has done his job," he said.
"He always does his job and I was thinking about it this morning he almost has to go down as the best Panmure player ever as far as consistency goes - he has never played a bad game in his life.
"It's a testament to just keep showing up and not putting a foot wrong.

"He's incredibly underrated across the league but that's the way he'd love it and probably what makes him so good for so long and his teammates just love him and love playing with him."
Meade's first goal was from a set shot from 40 metres which saw every Panmure player rush to celebrate with the popular Bulldog.
His second goal came shortly after with a mark in the goal square quickly converted, he later finished off another set shot from distance to cap off a big last quarter.
Meade was also named one of the Bulldogs' best players alongside Matthew Colbert, Sam Mahony, Kallan Melican, Tom Mahony and Liam Bishop.
Allansford coach Ben Price said his side was outclassed by a Bulldogs' outfit storming towards a second straight Warrnambool and District league finals series.
"Too many times uncontested possessions for Panmure and just not working hard enough to maintain our opponents," he said.
The Cats are locked in a battle to make finals with South Rovers (fifth), Russells Creek (sixth) and Old Collegians (seventh) all in the hunt with five rounds to play.
