Revive Nutrition Studio opened in Koroit Street on Wednesday and sells healthy, protein-filled smoothies and energising loaded teas.
Owner Deanna O'Keefe, who opened the business with Wanita Horan, said it was a pipedream she'd had for three years and now was the perfect time to open.
"We wanted something different for Warrnambool," Mrs O'Keefe said. "There's not a lot in town that you can get that's quick and healthy. Smoothies and energiser teas are something we all love."
The smoothies, with indulgent names such as malteaser pleaser, banana caramel and minty choc slice, have 15 to 25 grams of protein and are less than 300 calories, with a range of vegan and gluten and dairy-free options available.
"The best thing is it's healthy but it tastes naughty. We've heard that a lot the last few days," Mrs Horan said.
Mrs O'Keefe said the drinks were great for pre and post workouts and the energiser teas, in fruity flavours, were also helpful for an afternoon slump or "3.30 itis".
"I go to the gym every day and when you're in town you want something that's going to be helping you instead of eating something you regret afterwards. It's a light, satisfying meal that you can have for breakfast or lunch."
They said they chose the Koroit Street store, near Target, for its vibrant and central location which attracted plenty of passing foot traffic.
"Once we started mentioning to people what we were doing the feedback we were getting was tremendous. People were saying 'we can't wait for you to open' and 'this is what Warrnambool needs'. We knew it but just to hear it from the public was really cool," Mrs O'Keefe said.
She said COVID-19 didn't impact their decision to open. "We said if we don't go for it now we never will. The response and feedback has been amazing."
