The Seahawks, who won three of the past five matches before the Big V basketball season came to an abrupt halt, face one of their toughest opponents on the road on Saturday.
They will play Corio Bay - a playoff-calibre roster which defeated them 94-53 at the Arc earlier in the season.
Warrnambool coach Alex Gynes said his players were eager to compete after being restricted to training in recent weeks.
"Most of us were excited to get out of the house, get back on court and exert some energy," he said of their training sessions.
"It is going to be a test for everyone. It is almost like we're starting from scratch again with a new season," he said.
"We did start to build a bit of momentum (before lockdown) and we started to shoot the ball quite well and move the ball and do all the things which would put us in good stead if we could get into that finals picture.
"Now it's back to square one - we have missed some time on the court and you expect your touch and game sense to have taken a bit of a backwards step.
"It just means we need to keep things simple from our end.
"If we take care of the ball and the effort is there then we'll be in with a shot."
Gynes said the Seahawks wanted to respond after their heavy loss to the Stingrays.
"They gave us our biggest loss for the year," he said.
'When we played them the first time it was a good eye-opener to the things we need to do well to be competitive."
