The Seagulls goal shooter was matched-up against two of the HFNL's best defenders in the past fortnight and took lessons from those experiences.
"Dad and I were actually talking it about the other day, just how great it is to play on so many great players this year, the last two weeks where I've played on Emma Cust from Warrnambool and Emily Batt from Koroit, have just been an amazing learning experience for me," she said.
"To see how I test up against them physicality-wise but also mental strength and being able to fight out a game and if something goes their way - being able to build back from that during the game and during the quarter.
"Being able to learn from them is amazing."

Seeing the competitive spirit of those top players in action is another thing Elliott has taken from those matches.
"I think learning that you can be the nicest person ever but there's still no mercy on the court," she said with a laugh.
"And being able to play your toughest netball but being able to smile at them at the end of the game and shake their hand, give them a hug and say 'well done'.
"They're just so tenacious and so into it and involved and love netball and that's their life.
"And that's how it's been for me so far and I hope for it to be into my adult years."
The Seagulls are ninth with two wins and six losses and playing Camperdown at Leura Oval on Saturday.
They lost to Warrnambool 45-32 last weekend.
Elliott scored 24 goals against the Blues last Saturday and 24 goals against Koroit the week before.
The 19-year-old is working in tandem with goal attack, Indi Ryan, another teenager.
Ryan came across from Hamilton Kangaroos this season.
"We're really good friends, she's one of my best friends actually, so to have the experience and opportunity to play in goals together is amazing," Elliott said.
The goal shooter spoke highly of Ryan's game as well.
"She was a great pick up, another tall goalie but she's also really agile and mobile which is what we sort of need in the goal ring," she said.
"I think we work well together which is great."
It's also Elliott's first season at Port Fairy after she previously played with Warrnambool and District league club, Kolora-Noorat, and then North Warrnambool Eagles in the HFNL.
She played in the Eagles' 2019 division premiership team which she considers her career highlight.
"At the end of 2019, (Port Fairy's) Marcia Forrest actually came up to me and wanted to have a chat," she said.
"So I met with the coaches and it seemed like a really good place to be."
She did 2020 pre-season with the Seagulls but the open-grade team didn't get to play last year with the season cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"Under new coach Renae Taylor, it's been amazing and I'm really enjoying it so far," she said.
