Craig Inman, 44, of Bolwarra Court, pleaded guilty in Warrnambool Magistrate Court to charges, including criminal damage.
The court heard the man punched walls of a DHHS house on September 29 last year, leaving holes in the plaster and trails of blood inside the property.
Police were called, Inman appeared drunk and aggressive and he resisted arrest.
He was eventually handcuffed and conveyed to Portland police station where he was interviewed, charged and bailed.
Then on May 8 this year, Inman attended Portland's Bacchus Bar shortly after midnight.
A bar attendant told the man the bar was closed and he couldn't buy a drink.
Inman became aggressive and punched a window panel of a door, causing it to crack.
Lawyer Xavier Farrelly said his client had a history of depression, anxiety and alcohol abuse after starting drinking regularly at the age of 12.
Inman was placed on an 18-month community corrections order with the condition he do 90 hours of unpaid community work.
He was also banned from licensed premises for nine months.
