The final stages of the 105^th edition of the world's second oldest cycling race will be broadcast on SBS' Cycling Central Facebook page.

Keenan, who called the world's oldest one-day classic Liege-Bastogne-Liege last week, is relishing the chance to call the iconic Australian bike race.

"I've got the opportunity to commentate it with Dave McKenzie and I'm really looking forward to it," he said.

Keenan and McKenzie are regular members of SBS' broadcast team and have called a number of top cycling races and tours including the Tour de France.

Warrnambool Citizens Road Race Committee chairman Shane Wilson confirmed the last 100 kilometres of the race would also be streamed live on the big screen at the race's finish on Raglan Parade.

Wilson encouraged spectators to head down to the finish line on Saturday.

"It is a picnic-style event where we will have coffee vans and a barbecue going and a big screen with the last 100kms broadcast live with Dave McKenzie and Matt Keenan," he said.

More than 200 riders, including a 13-strong women's field, will tackle the 267-kilometre race from Avalon Airport to Warrnambool's Raglan Parade.

Tokyo Olympic hopefuls, National Road Series and amateur riders will take part in Saturday's race, which was postponed in February due to a snap coronavirus lockdown.
