The Roosters got through unscathed in their 59-32 victory against North Warrnambool Eagles in round two.
Assistant coach Will Jamison said there was a focus on playing a style that minimises risk of injuries.
"We've really prided ourselves on trying to play a clean, crisp game," he said.
"So doing the early work loads and getting free of the play so we can get the clean ball.
"I think that type of netball sets us up to get through a game cleanly."
The Roosters are otherwise striving to play a consistent game.
"We're starting to string together longer patches of the type of netball we want to play but it's probably just that attention and focus for longer parts," he said.
"We're still yet to play that full 60 minutes of good netball so we'll just work on that."

The undefeated side blew the Eagles away in the second stanza on Saturday, turning a three-goal quarter-time lead into a 14-goal margin by half-time.
"In the second quarter, we just started to play more of our brand of netball so we were a lot more disciplined in attack and our defence was probably a bit more structured," Jamison said.
He felt the Eagles took it up to the Roosters in the first quarter.
"They put the pressure on, they were playing a really strong, direct type of netball and we were probably a little bit in recovery mode, they put us on the back foot a bit," he said.
South Warrnambool got out to an 11-goal half-time lead against Warrnambool in round one but the Blues brought that back to a six-goal buffer by the final whistle.
Jamison said the Roosters were keen to close out the North Warrnambool Eagles game in the second half.
"Last week against Warrnambool we did get ahead and then probably became a bit complacent," he said.
The assistant coach said the most pleasing part of the second half was the group was able to remain disciplined and get further ahead on the scoreboard.
