Love, 42, will coach Stonyford in the Colac and District Cricket Association in 2021-22.
The former Victorian Premier Cricket batting all-rounder said he was "looking for a new challenge".
Stonyford is also closer to Love's home in Camperdown.
"I have been in contact with them for the last couple of years since moving to Camperdown," he told The Standard.
"I just thought the time was right to have a bit of a change after giving Brierly a couple of years.
"I am just looking forward to a new challenge and a new league."
Love, who scored five half-centuries for the Bulls in 2020-21, said coaching appealed to him.
"I enjoy coaching and having an impact on players coming through," he said.
"I'm coming into a club that has got recent and current success so I am looking to value-add I guess where I might be needed.
"If I can be a benefit on the field then that will be a bonus."
Love hopes to extend his longevity in the game.
"I still feel like I am hitting the ball well but the body lets me know I am 42 every now and then," he said.
"It is more about body maintenance and getting roaring fit."
The Standard has contacted Brierly-Christ Church for comment.
