The Athletics South West Athlete, who is trained by Phil Molesworth, stormed to a bronze medal in the under 20 3000-metre steeplechase.
Morden, who was running in a straight final, crossed the line in 10 minutes and 53.52 seconds to claim her first medal at national level.
Queensland's Laura McKillop won the race in 10 minutes and 46.02 seconds with Western Australia's Abigail Graham finishing in 10 minutes and 51.20 seconds.
Earlier in the week, Morden finished fifth in the under 20 1500-metre final, her first at national level, on Tuesday afternoon. She ran a time of four minutes and 32.83 seconds.

She qualified third fastest for the final, running a time of four minutes and 32.68 seconds to finish third in her preliminary heat on Monday.
Meanwhile, Warrnambool sprinter Grace Kelly just missed out on another national medal in the under 16 200 metres.
The DPS Warrnambool athlete, who is coached by Wayne Perry and Rob Duynhoven, finished fourth in the final on Wednesday. She claimed silver in the 100 metres on Monday night.
She ran 24.94 seconds in the 200-metre final with Western Australia's Olivia Dodds (24.58), Queensland's Marissa Hanlon (24.78) and New South Wale's Damita Betham (24.85) claiming the medals.
Kelly finished second in her preliminary heat, running a time of 25.21.
Fellow south-west athlete Caytlyn Sharp starts her nationals campaign on Thursday.
