A high pressure system south-east of Tasmania extends a ridge along the NSW coast.
The high will move north-east today and on Thursday as a low pressure trough over South Australia moves east and a low pressure system crosses the Southern Ocean.
The trough is expected to enter western Victoria later on Thursday as the low moves south of Tasmania, before crossing eastern Victoria during Friday as a high pressure ridge building from the west extends across Bass Strait on Saturday.
For the week ahead - Warrnambool on Thursday is expecting a cloudy 31 degrees, Friday partly cloudy 19, Saturday partly cloudy 18, Sunday partly cloudy 19, Monday mostly sunny 22, Tuesday mostly sunny 26 and Wednesday mostly sunny 27.
