A four-year-old has been taken to Warrnambool Base Hospital for observation after being struck by a car in Timboon.

Port Campbell police Senior Constable Liam Cook said the incident occurred at about 2.20pm on Wednesday afternoon.
"The incident occurred on the Timboon-Curdievale Road outside the Timboon Pub," he said.
"The four-year-old was attempting to cross the road between two cars. The child couldn't see the car and the driver couldn't see the child.
"The child stepped out as the driver went past and the driver stopped further down the road."
Senior Constable Cook the child suffered minor injuries including grazed knees and elbows and was taken to Warrnambool Base Hospital.
"Under the circumstances, it is very fortunate that no serious injuries occurred," Senior Constable Cook said.
"No person is at fault for this accident."
