The squad, which was reduced from more than 100 hopefuls to 25 players, is preparing for next month’s under 15 representative cup.
The team will train at Camperdown tonight, followed by another training and a jumper presentation at Cobden next Wednesday.
“We’ll work out where the kids are going to play and things like our back line set-up, kickout drill, forward set-up, centre bounces and boundary throw-ins,” Banks said.
Banks will take charge of the Hampden side for the 27th consecutive year, with the team to start its division two campaign with a match against Frankston Peninsula Stingrays on April 1.
The squad is: Patrick Anderson, Jett Herrmann, Joshua Alexander, Liam Howarth (South Warrnambool); Louis Robertson, Paul Pekin, Nick Kemp, Nathan Stevens, Jack Hutt, Jake Reed (Cobden); Ben Reid, Luke Tebble (Kolora-Noorat); Jack Primmer (Russells Creek); Benjamin McCarthy (Alvie); Hugh Clancey, Jack Herbert (Emmanuel Hawks); Taylor Henry (Colac Imperials); Luke McLeod (Warrnambool); Dominic Dare (Colac); Nathan Gronbeck (Camperdown); Tobias Lane (Allansford); Jack Clifford (North Warrnambool Eagles); Benjamin Finnerty, Jake Crawley (Terang Mortlake) and Dominic Moloney (Panmure).
Meanwhile, Warrnambool Youth Girls is preparing for its debut in the under 15 representative cup.
Players trained last night, with AFL Victoria Hampden region development officer Alan Thompson saying the squad would be finalised over the next week. Team members will be presented with their jumpers next Tuesday.
