The former Woodford singer now resides in Melbourne but is a regular around town with her family still in Warrnambool.
Senior, best known for silencing audiences with her ethereal vocals and unique lyricism, was nominated for Best Solo Artist and Best Song.
The song, 'Evergreen', is the leading track in her latest album The Passing Scene.
Hailed by critics as a divine masterpiece, The Passing Scene is a charming expansion on her previous two records lilting between spring time baroque-pop and 70s folk.
The Passing Scene effortlessly weaves together themes of impermanence, the natural world, loss and ultimately hope.
The album was released during lockdown.
"I had to cancel all of my tour plans, including a USA and Canada tour with King Gizzard and an EU tour," she said.

Senior's distinctive voice featured on King Gizzard's apocalyptic album Murder of The Universe, as the omnipresent female narrator.
Early 2020, Senior joined members of King Gizzard to rewrite the soundtrack for cult classic "Suspiria" and perform it live at Hamer Hall.
Senior's second album Pretty Faces was recorded and produced with Gizzard's own Joey Walker and features Michael Cavanagh on drums.

Her music was described by Rolling Stone Australia as "Enchanting... Recalling Joni Mitchell playfulness through cosy folk, minimalism."
Leah Senior's first album Summer's On The Ground reveals a haunting and intimate storyteller, Rolling Stone giving the album four stars, saying "this is insular music, akin to eavesdropping on someone else's prettily conveyed thoughts".
The album was also nominated for the Australian Music Prize as well as Best Folk and Roots Album for the Age Victoria Music Awards.
Leah Senior's captivating live performances have seen her supporting international artists including Calexico, Jeff Tweedy, Jessica Pratt and Bedouine.
When performing, Senior is joined by her sister Andi and guitarist/pianist Jesse Williams creating a tapestry of ethereal harmonies and jangly 60s guitar.
The Passing Scene also features Tam Matlakowski on bass and Luke Brennan on drums.
Leah Senior has performed extensively throughout Australia and Europe, playing at major festivals including Golden Plains, Boogie, Queenscliff Music Festival and OOAM (Switzerland).
Early 2019 saw Leah Senior embark on her first headline international tour in support of her single 'Graves'.
