The duo, whose star chaser Mepunga Isla placed third in the Adelaide Cup a fortnight ago, are now preparing Mepunga Sparkle to contest the group three Great Chase Final on Wednesday.
Hooke said Mepunga Sparkle was awkwardly drawn in box seven.
Mepunga Sparkle ran second in her heat this past week. Her time, 30.17 seconds over the 525-metre distance at The Meadows, was fast enough to qualify for the final.

"(Sparkle) needs a rail draw. She's a dead set box one dog," Hooke said.

"I just think she has to get to the rails. We're just happy she made it."
The final will generate $24,000 in funds for community groups which care for physically and intellectually disabled people. Eight of the 22 groups involved will be randomly allocated a greyhound in the final.
The winning group will receive $10,000, while the remaining seven will pocket $2,000 apiece.
Hooke said she and Richardson, who have seven racing greyhounds, trained out of passion for the sport.
"I don't have any expectations for the dogs - I very much have a whatever will be, will be attitude," Hooke told The Standard.
"We don't have the most talented bunch - apart from Isla - our others are OK. We've just been having a bit of fun.
"We've both been born into it and we're just enjoying the ride."
The Great Chase Final will jump at 5.24pm on Wednesday. The winner will receive a $47,000 windfall, while second and third will net $13,335 and $6665 respectively.
