Warrnambool-trained galloper Rivet Delight was overhauled over the concluding stages in Saturday's feature by Silent Command, who won the 1800-metre race by a length with Patch Adams in third place.
Two starts back, the six-year-old was successful at Moonee Valley before failing at the same track on August 1.

Smart, who won the listed Toyko City Cup last year with Single Handed, told The Standard Silent Command came down with a virus after the August 1 start.
"We just eased up on him after his failure at the Valley," the Bendigo-based trainer said.
"He had a bit of a virus. It was nothing serious so we just gave him a few weeks in the paddock. He's been a great bread and butter horse for his connections. It's his first win in a race over 1600 metres.
"I can now go to the Toyko City Cup full of confidence because I know he can run out a strong 1800 metres. He's best when his runs are spaced so we'll just freshen him up for the Toyko City Cup.
"It's a jump up in class but I'm confident he'll run well."
Smart sang the praises of talented apprentice jockey Will Price, who had the winning ride on Saturday.
"It was very good ride by Will," he said. "Will never panicked at any stage of the race. He had Silent Command well placed in the run and found the right spot in the home straight.
"I'm sure with time he'll develop into a top jockey."
Smart was $200 lighter in the pocket after stewards fined him $200 for late notification of a rider for Trumpsta in a restricted race on the nine race program.
