"Certainly, that's what we're aiming to do," he said.
"We were obviously disappointed in that elimination final (2019).
"Last year was a pretty good stepping stone for us from bottom of the ladder and one win the year before."
Bant, who is plays in the forward line, is drawing confidence from the commitment of his players.
"It's a really good sign for us our full senior list has recommitted," he said.
"Which is great to know everyone loves playing football at Panmure."
Bringing fun back to football is something Bant has honed in on since taking on the senior coaching role in 2019.
"(My focus) from a whole group situation is just trying to get everyone enjoying their footy," he said.
"Getting people back to training and wanting to improve.
"We were getting good numbers at pre-season because blokes were enjoying themselves.
"I think that gets lost sometimes in country footy, the reason you play is for enjoyment and having as much fun as you can."
The 30-year-old has put time into recruiting this year.
He said the coronavirus pandemic had made it a more difficult task.
"It's hard when you can't speak to them face-to-face," he said.
Nonetheless he said he felt "pretty confident there would be some announcements down the track".
