Begood Toya Mother resumed with a fourth placing a fortnight ago in the Regal Roller Stakes at Caulfield.
Bowman said the six-year-old had improved with that effort under his belt.
"Begood Toya Mother is in great order after his first-up effort," he told The Standard.
"We took him up to Casterton on Tuesday for a track gallop over 1200 metres. His work was solid."
Bowman said Begood Toya Mother felt comfortable at the track.
"I'm expecting jockey Declan Bates will push forward from his barrier on Saturday," he said.
"Begood Toya Mother has a great record at Caulfield and a very good second-up record so he ticks a few boxes.
"I'm confident he'll be very competitive in the Memsie Stakes but his grand final is the group one Rupert Clarke Stakes which he won last year. I think he's a physically stronger horse this year."
Bookmakers rate Begood Toya Mother a $20 chance in the early betting markets to win the Memsie.
Fellow Warrnambool trainers Lindsey Smith and Symon Wilde have runners at Caulfield. Smith saddles up Reykjavik, Royal Performance and Great Again while Wilde accepted with Inn Keeper and Vin De Dance.
Ciaron Maher, who trains in partnership with David Eustace, has numerous runners at Caulfield. The powerful training combination also saddles up exciting three-year-old colt Anders in the $160,000 San Domenico Stakes at Rosehill.
