The Dixie vineyard was first established in 2005 by Barry and Bernadette Wurlod and has grown, with Mr and Mrs Wurlod's son Jerram and daughter-in-law Caitlin relocating from Melbourne last year to be part of the business.
Work has begun to build a cellar door which is expected to be completed in six weeks.
The winery has created a buzz around the district and, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the family decided to launch its online wine sales via Facebook on Saturday.
"At the moment we're sort of in new territory like everyone else, we're taking it on as an interesting challenge," Barry said.
He said construction of the cellar door was well under way and the work would continue this week, weather permitting.
"We'll hopefully do the roof work this week if it's not too windy," he said.
"We hope within a couple of weeks the outside of the build will be finished and we'll be looking to get the inside cellar door internal build, furniture, bar and shelving happening over the next month to six weeks.
"That's our timeline at this stage and we're certainly planning for it to happen in this time. Everyone we speak to is looking forward to seeing it open.
"We've had a number of people saying they want to book a birthday party or maybe a wedding here."
Bernadette said although the pandemic had brought a new set of challenges, it was important to stay positive.
"I think it's really important to have hope," she said.
Jerram and Caitlin had brought innovative ideas to the business, including launching their wine online.
"E-commerce certainly wasn't at the top of our to-do list but we are trying to adapt in the current environment," Jerram said.
The family hope open for tastings later this year. To see their online store visit www.keayangmaar.com
