The 36-year-old finished his opening day at the USPGA Championship at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco with par round of 70.
Leishman sits in equal-49th with fellow Australian Matt Jones and 18 others heading into the second round today.

Adam Scott is the next best Australian, tied for 20th at two-under the card.
Leishman fired three birdies on the par-5 fourth, par-4 sixth and par-5 10th but they were cancelled out by bogeys on the par-4 second, par-3 11th and par-4 12th.
The world no.19 told The Standard this week he was ready to claim his major victory on the PGA Tour.
"If I can get into contention, I definitely think I can take that next step and win a big one," he said.
Leishman said he spoke with Melbourne-based coach Denis McDade via FaceTime ahead of this week.
