From Friday, no appointments will be needed for the new drive-thru clinic which was created to relieve traffic at the hospital.
Portland District Health chief executive Chris Giles said there was huge demand for testing in Portland after three more people received positive COVID-19 test results on Wednesday.
"We have made the decision to move the site of the drive-thru testing clinic for a period of time to alleviate traffic chaos," she said. "It ensures we can test everyone that has symptoms and/or have been identified by the contact tracing team as being in direct contact with a positive person."
The new clinic will operate on Friday, August 7 from 9am-5pm, on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm and on Monday from 9am-5pm.
Ms Giles urged anyone with even the mildest of symptoms to isolate and get tested.
The Portland District Health Fever Clinic can be contacted through 5521 0387.
