The Police Air Wing was called in to rescue four trapped walkers near Glenaire on the Great Ocean Road about 10pm Tuesday night in high winds.

Officers were told two men, both aged 73, and two women, aged 51 and 49, had been walking from Castle Cove along Great Ocean Walk to Dinosaur Cove when they were forced to the water's edge by a scrub fire.
The group attempted to reach Johanna Beach but were trapped on a rock ledge by the rising tide.
They managed to contact emergency services just before 7pm and the Air Wing was dispatched.
On arrival officers used night vision goggles and a winch to rescue the group members.
A man and women in the walking party were showing the initial signs of hypothermia and were taken to a waiting ambulance.
The other members of the group were not injured.
