The Hampden league announced on Wednesday night it would not run senior football and netball seasons in 2020 with uncertainty around return to play restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic weighing heavily in the decision.
It has committed to running junior football and netball competitions if it was permitted under government regulations and guidelines.
No decision would be made on Hampden junior competitions and senior initiatives until the league received more clarity from the state government, AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria.

"That includes junior fixtures and depending on the easing of more restrictions."
The Victorian government is expected to announce further easing of restrictions, which will come into effect on June 21 at 11.59pm.
The Mininera and District league will also meet to discuss its plans for season 2020 on June 22.
