Jason Rowan, who now coaches at Warrnambool and District league side Merrivale, took out The Standard's poll for the best forward.
The former Blues captain and three-time premiership player polled 21.39 per cent of the nearly 350 votes as of Friday at 3pm.
Koroit spearhead Sam Dobson followed Rowan in second with 14.46 per cent of votes.
Warrnambool's Darren Ewing, the last Hampden player to score a century of goals in a season, was a close third with 11.75 per cent of votes.
Portland's Jay Moody, Terang Mortlake's Steve Staunton scored top five spots in the reader's eyes.
Koroit's Jarrod Korewha, South Warrnambool's Shannon Beks, North Warrnambool Eagles' Jarryd Lewis, Camperdown Nick Bateman and Eagles' Adam Wines rounded out the top 10.

Rowan's only season in the past five was in 2016 when the the Blues finished third and were eliminated from the grand final race by eventual premiers Koroit and Port Fairy in straight sets.
The big forward played all 20 games and bagged 69 goals to take home the leagues goal-kicking award in his final season in the competition.
Since Rowan's final Hampden league season only four more forwards have kicked more than 69 goals.
Rowan, who is known for his imposing size, speed, marking and goal-kicking ability, averaged 3.45 goals a game throughout his last season at Reid Oval.
His best games, goal wise, that season were twin eight-goal performances against Hamilton Kangaroos in round five and 14.
